Salesforce FLS Manager

Effective Date: March 6, 2026

At Salesforce FLS Manager, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension operates and why it is safe to maintain sensitive Salesforce security configurations using this tool.

1. No Data Collection (Local Processing Only)

Salesforce FLS Manager is a client-side-only tool.

  • Your Data Stays Local: All permission data, field lists, and organization metadata fetched from Salesforce are processed and rendered entirely within your browser.

  • No External Servers: We do not own, store, or move your data to any external servers. Your Field-Level Security configurations, Object permissions, and generated SOQL queries never leave your computer.

  • No Analytics: We do not track your usage, clicks, or the organizations you connect to. We have no visibility into how you use the extension.

2. Authentication & Security

The extension uses the Chrome Cookies API to detect your existing, active Salesforce session.

  • No Credentials Stored: It does not ask for, store, or see your Salesforce username or password.

Session-Based Access: It only uses the session ID (sid) provided by your browser to make authorized requests to the Salesforce REST APIs on your behalf. These requests are governed by your existing Salesforce permissions.

3. Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome’s storage.local API to save your UI preferences only. This includes:

  • Preferred theme (Light or Dark mode).

  • Selected organizations for quick switching.

  • User interface states (e.g., active tabs). This data is stored locally on your device and is not synced to any cloud service.

4. Third-Party Services

This extension interacts solely with Salesforce.com domains. It does not communicate with any other third-party services, advertisers, or tracking networks.

5. Permissions Justification

  • cookies / host_permissions (*.salesforce.com, *.force.com): Required to authenticate with your Salesforce org and fetch security metadata.

  • storage: Required to remember your UI theme and preferences.

  • tabs: Required to identify the correct Salesforce environment when multiple tabs are open.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or Chrome Web Store requirements. The "Effective Date" at the top will be updated accordingly.
